ELF together with ten Estonian growing stock companies and sawmills has researched and analyzed the structure and transparency of Estonian growing stock market. The project described the stocking practices applied in timber market and analyzed their efficiency in excluding illegal timber or timber with uncertain origin. The project assessed to what extent companies take into consideration various environmental values and to what extent they exclude timber in supply chains and production processes which has been stocked in environmental hostile manner.
